4th Annual Firehouse Hockey League All-Star Game February 11th 8pm at WWII War Memorial Ice Skating Rink, located on Staten Island, in Clove Lakes Park. All proceeds will be donated to Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. Each team will be represented at the All-Star game. $10 admission collected at the door. The BN 38 team is organizing this year’s fundraiser event with an after party at the Beer Garden located at 1883 victory blvd. Turn out, this is for one of our own.

Playoffs start 1/27. One game elimination. Only the top 8 teams make playoffs. Only players who have played the required 5 games will be eligible to play in the playoffs. Schedule is as follows. No changes will be allowed.

OT / Playoff Format

This year we changed the format for the playoffs. During regular season play, if a game is tied then it goes to a shootout. If a tie during the playoffs then there will be sudden death 10 minute running time OT. If the game is still tied after the 10 minute OT, then a shootout will decide the winner. Only the championship game will be decided by extra periods with stop time/sudden death. Only the Top Eight teams will make the playoffs.

Each team rep and every skater is responsible for checking in to the scorekeeper before the game to insure your name is recorded on the gamesheet. In order to record each player’s stats correctly, your jersey number must match your name. In order to qualify for playoff play, each player MUST play a minimum of 5 games. Only the leagues official scoresheets maintained at the rink will count. So check in and wear your team jerseys.

Great job on the turnout for the All-Star Game.....largest attendance to date. We raised over $3000 towards the burn center, which will be donated in Bobby Ryans name. I want to thank all the guys who stepped up from the league to help out on the sidelines to make the event go well. | Any Team that has a outstanding balance with the league will not be allowed to play in the playoffs nor the All-Star game. Any team who has not paid in full by the Playoffs will not be invited to play in the spring league nor to next years Firehouse season. I cant lay out money for teams that I dont have. I've been they patient this year but its not fair to me to lay out money as the season progresses. The league costs $36,000 to run. So with that in mind please pay up.

| Because of the odd number teams and playoff capabilities. The two team finishing in 8th and 9th places will play for a playoff spot. Game to be held Saturday Jan 31 5pm at Clove Lakes. Teams who may finish in the bottom 3rd should pay close attention to your teams final regular season standings

HELMET RULE

The Ice Rink has a Policy that, ALL Players must wear a minimum of a half sheild during play. I have informed all team reps and refs of the policy and it will be enforced starting next week (10/13). No player will be allowed to play without either a full cage or half shield. Players that have cage masks and removed the shield in the center are not exceptable for play.
