 The Bn4 team captured its first Firehouse Hockey League title by defeating the Bn22 team with the score of
6-4 at the Abe Stark Arena. Bn4 took a four goal lead early in the first period putting the Bn22 season deep
in its grave. The second period proved to be Bn22 resurrection as they outscored Bn4 2-0, pulling the game
back into reach, 4-2. With the 3rd period beginning and the momentum in the Bn22 favor, the Bn22
scored its third goal with 13:35 on the clock, bringing them within one. "I told them you can't lay down on this
team, they will put the puck in the net" said Frank Heal of Bn4. With the feeling of a comeback at hand, the
Bn 4 team responded quickly giving them a 5-3 lead. "You heard the entire team exhale with relief" Heal.
Both teams added one more score a piece to their tallies. "You can't expect to win when your outshot 40-28
against this team and Kevin Ryan in net, it's not realistic" said Pat Smith, Bn22 defensemen. This was the
second time in 5 seasons that the Bn22 reached the championship game and not coming away with a win.
"We hope the Bn22 team doesn't turn into the Buffalo Bills of the Firehouse Hockey League" said Ron
Lowerre, FHL Scorekeeper.

ALL TEAMS MUST BE PAID IN FULL BEFORE PLAYOFFS. NO TEAM WILL BE ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE IN PLAYOFFS WITH AN OUTSTANDING BALANCE. Thank you to the teams who have paid in full over the past few weeks. Historically we haven’t made specific payment deadlines. The reason was so guys can spread out their payments over 4 months. With that said, it’s the last week. So let’s help out the Team Reps and hand in your remaining balances. |

Playoffs will begin Monday January 31st and Thursday Feb. 3rd. Schedule will not be posted until completion of regular season. Format for playoffs are as follows....one game elimination. Overtime goes to a shootout. Only the Championship game, sudden death overtime will be used. ONLY PLAYERS THAT HAVE PLAYED THE REQUIRED 5 GAMES DURING THE REGULAR SEASON WILL BE ALLOWED TO PLAY IN THE PLAYOFFS. NO EXEMPTIONS WILL BE MADE. If dispute regarding players eligibility must be made before the game begins. It is and has always been the responsibility of the individual player to insure they were recorded on the game sheet during the regular season.

Monday Jan. 24th and Thursday Jan. 27th are the last two days of the regular season. Some teams are not schedule this week because this week is for makeup games.

To avoid game cancellations or forfeits, teams will be allowed to mutual out of their scheduled game times or day. Must take place in same week. Cooperating teams all must agree to change for swap to occur. Request must take place no later then 1 week prior to game. Last minute requests will constitute as a forfeit. All requests are made through League. Only 2 request will be granted. Please contact Mike for further info. |
New Penalty Rules |

The follow rule will now be implemented regarding penalties recieved during a game.
-4 or more penalties in a game by any one player, that player will be ejection from game.
-12 or more penalties by any team in a game, Team rep will recieve game suspension..
-Any player who intimidates/ harasses and provokes a player on the opposite team
for the purpose of causing a player into a penalty will be ejected from the game.
